On October 11th, 2022, one of our Deaf student underwent a spinal surgery at HUKM hospital due to several complications he has been suffering from since birth. Despite his challenges, he has persisted and is currently in Form Two at a Pendidikan Khas school. He receives tuition from a dedicated Deaf teacher twice a week at the Pusat Majudiri Y (PMY), YMCA Kuala Lumpur.

The parents of the student express their gratitude towards the Majudiri Y Foundation for the Deaf for sponsoring RM10,000 for the surgery. They hope that more generous donors will come forward to help individuals who are deaf, like their son Tan Lai Heng.
